Move aside Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos to make room for Brooklyn-based indie darlings and wannabe space travelers Forever Honey! In the lead up to their latest single release, "Satellite," the foursome of 'Team Forever Honey' created an entertaining video mockumentary (We're Going To Space) featuring the highlights of their two-month space 'boot camp.'
Comprised of Liv Price (lead vocals, guitar), Aida Mekonnen (lead guitar, vocals), Steve Vannelli (drums, keys), and Jack McLoughlin (bass, production), Forever Honey made their official entry into the indie scene in early 2020 with Pre-Mortem High, their phenomenal debut EP that scored them considerable attention with singles "Christian" and "Twenty-Five."
New single "Satellite" is yet another brilliant taste of the glistening and melodic dream-pop that Forever Honey gorgeously crafts. "It's the first song we played and recorded last year after a long sad summer of not being able to see each other," the band comments. "It'll always be special to us for that reason." Sharing the spotlight with the dreamy and soothing vocals of Liv and Aida, "Satellite" glitters with warm, sparkling guitar hooks that elevate this heavenly track to another level ... perhaps into space?
"I was just so distracted
Always looking up at some kind of satellite
If they're still there
It must mean something"
The official music video for "Satellite," filmed by Kat Rodriguez with editing and production by Liv Price, features the band all suited up and ready for space travel.
