Earlier this Summer, UK-based indie musician Anna Pancaldi opened a new musical chapter with the release "What I've Become", showcasing her debut on electric guitar. A few pages later in this exciting musical journey comes a bold and surprising next step in Anna's musical evolution - new single "Peace". From the very first notes, you'll realize you're about to hear something that's a full 180 from the heartfelt, piano-driven anthems you might most immediately associate with Anna's musical sound. "Peace" leads off with a rousing, bursting energy that's reminiscent of "Great Balls of Fire" (from the legendary Jerry Lee Lewis), before building into a lo-fi, anthemic piece of indie rock. Yes - this spirited little foot stomper is sure to get you off your seat and dancing about.

Anna describes the new sound as "a challenge at first, but now an exhilarating awakening having discovered and then explored the electric guitar." She adds, "'Peace' is my first 'foot stomper' track which I think will surprise listeners who've been on the journey with me so far. It feels a bold evolution for me so here we go."

For both "What I've Become" and "Peace", Anna has been working with producer Matt Ingram (Florence & The Machine, Lianne La Havas, Laura Marling) to launch her new sound and approach to her musical alchemy. From a lyrical perspective, Anna tells SoundThread, "I wrote this song grappling with knowing peace and the lack of it my life - that reaching out, hoping for palpable revelations, and speaking out the words to invite it in."

In addition to the single release of "Peace", keep an eye out for release of the single's accompanying music video, as well as upcoming live performances from Anna.
